ENERGY POLE

Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, 49

The energy hub project consisted of the study, programming, definition of specifications and design of an exemplary construction in terms of sustainable development, in the heart of the Fontevraud Abbey, a "sustainable city" labeled under the ISO 26 000 environmental label. A complete semi-buried complex, entirely landscaped and undetectable once the work was completed, was created opposite the chevet of the Abbey. The program includes: two wood-fired boilers to heat the entire site, 92 photovoltaic panels, perfectly integrated into the Monument, offices, storage areas for archaeological remains, a waste treatment and sorting area and a rainwater collector for watering green spaces.
