The Fort des Trois Têtes is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of the Vauban Network and classified as a Historic Monument, as a registered site.
The Fort des Trois Têtes dominating the old town of Briançon was initiated by Vauban and built from 1718, with a complex representing nearly 20,000 m². The Fort was abandoned by the Army for 30 years.
The project involves the creation of a new city district, connected by a cable car, the restoration and reuse of all the military buildings to create a conference center with a 250-seat auditorium, a 100-room hotel, housing, shops, restaurants and bars, and heritage visit areas.
